Veils, 2014-18
Cut found and gifted dictionaries, water, glue, and aircraft cable.
In 2014 I began developing a series of long, transparent and intricate pieces using cut dictionaries later folded and transformed into long veils.
After much experimentation, numerous pieces of folded and woven paper became long strings of
books. When segmented, the books ceased to exist flat on a table, and began their existence in space,
exposing a visceral connection to architecture, fabric or nature. Roads of folded paper come together
with wire rope, resulting in three 3’ x 20’ roads of books.
